I Will Wait

"I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons has become my "baby anthem" over the past few months. I listen to this song every day while holding Mimi's coin. Most days, I also sing and play the song on my guitar. Every aspect of this song strikes a chord deep within my soul. The tone, rhythm, lyrics and passion are all soothing and energizing at the same time. It gives me hope and faith that my little miracle is coming.

"I Will Wait"
Well, I came home
Like a stone
And I fell heavy into your arms
These days of dust
Which we've known
Will blow away with this new sun

But I'll kneel down,
Wait for now
And I'll kneel down,
Know my ground

And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

So break my step
And relent
Well, you forgave and I won't forget
Know what we've seen
And him with less
Now in some way shake the excess

'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

Now I'll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So tame my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind freed from the lies

And I'll kneel down,
Wait for now
I'll kneel down,
Know my ground

Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow

'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

    1. Same here! I put it on repeat while driving (alone) and sing my heart out! I play it on my guitar and if I'm home alone, I belt it out. I'm sure I sound horrible, but it feels so good to let it out :) I've been trying to convince DH to take me to a Mumford & Sons concert for a few weeks now. It would be a no-brainer, but their tour schedule doesn't get close to the east coast.

    2. I could have written that! My fave place is also the car - nice and loud while I belt it out! I'm jealous of your guitar skills though :) I was so keen on getting tickets to see them in concert but the stupid show was sold out ridiculously fast! Damn them for getting so popular ;)

    3. Doesn't it feel so good to belt it out?! LOL

I don't even know if there are tickets available for any of their shows, but I'm trying to convince DH that it'd be worth the very long trip. They are the best!! I have been listening to both their albums exclusively and nonstop ever since I "discovered" them. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE every song!
